Easy living with Jon Jandai
I’ve been thinking about his more and more since watching this video by Jon Jandai about easy (and healthy!) living. The title is simple yet inspiring:
Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard?
Like Jon, I studied a lot (and still study on my own) and worked to make money. But I didn’t really enjoy it. I’ve always thought there’s a different and better way to live.
Although I live in the city and spend a lot of time working on a computer, I’m now visiting a farm in Thailand and getting a chance to experience a simpler way of living.
We worked in the morning and, after eating lunch, we all relaxed and took a nap. I’ll share with my farm stay as well as my ongoing mission to reunite with nature – and better health.
More secret waterfalls
In my past update, I shared about my adventures in finding a so-called secret waterfall.
Well… We did it again. But this time we stuck with the group and were rewarded with a new waterfall. And I went down the slide!
Biohacking Socials #4-6
During the Biohackers Chiang Mai Biohacking Social #4, we again touched on a LOT of different biohacking topics during our meetup, from sleep to super-foods, and MANY topics in between.
Click here to read more about Biohacking Social #4 with topics on sleep, fasting, technology hygiene, addictions, mindfulness, and food.
Our group is growing so I moved the location for Biohacking Social #5 to Hub53. Zar demonstrated how EMFs are measured.
And now that I’m on the farm, I didn’t make it to Biohacking Social #6… but I plan to be back for #7!
In the News
Here are some interesting articles I’ve read recently that may interest you too…
Are you drinking too much water?
A friend shared this interesting article with me:
Why Drinking Water All Day Long Is Not the Best Way to Stay Hydrated
I used to drink WAY too much water. That is, until I discovered the Bulletproof diet and learned that I was probably overdoing it.
I remember back to my college weights class when the teacher said that our body is mostly water and that our pee should be clear. People would say that if you’re thirsty you’re already dehydrated so you should get ahead of that and drink more water. With this mis-information I continued over-drinking water for the next 20 years!
Now I try to listen to my body. When should I drink water? When I’m thirsty! I generally start my day with a glass of salt water with lime. Ideally I would be drinking more natural mineral water but it’s expensive here in Thailand.
One thing missing from that article is that much of the water we drink is “dead” water contaminated with chemicals like chlorine and fluoride. This is another reason why foods are better absorbed…because the water in them can actually be used better by our bodies.
Furthermore, if you have the urge and need to pee and there’s not much liquid to evacuate, that can be a sign that you’re body is trying to flush out bad stuff like toxins.
Will camping help you sleep?
This article seems appropriate as I spend time on a farm in Thailand:
How Camping Helps You Sleep Better
No surprises here for me. If you’re out in nature away from city lights, distractions (and hopefully devices!), you’re body is going to adjust to a better circadian rhythm, hormone production and sleep.
Raise the head of your bed for better sleep.
I found I sleep better through the night with an elevated bed. I’m not getting up to pee at night. Here’s how:
How to Elevate the Head of a Bed
Fasting and keto for multiple sclerosis?
MS: Yet another illness that can be helped by fasting:
Fasting or keto: possible treatment for multiple sclerosis
Is Butanediol a keto shortcut?
How do you boost fat burning and brain function?
I’ve tried various exogenous ketone supplements and at times have felt superhuman. But I tend to agree with this article
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH BUTANEDIOL AND WILL IT PUT YOU IN KETOSIS?
and prefer other methods…
Primarily fasting… For detox, energy and brain function.
Are you missing something?
Yes! You are missing something; that is if you haven’t read the last newsletter about secret waterfalls, goat milk, nature, biohacking, EMFs, CBD and fasting, be sure to check them out.
Do you want detox and become a “Master Faster”?
Although keto is the craze these days for the latest diet trend, after years of personal experience, research, and working with many clients, I truly believe that fasting is the BEST (dietary) approach to achieve your health goals – to cleanse & detox your body while burning fat.
If you’re interested in learning all of the amazing benefits of fasting – and experiencing those benefits for yourself – stay tuned because I plan to open up more spots on the Master Faster detox challenge.
If you’re interested, simply send me a message and let me know that you’re interested. We’ll set up a call to make sure you’re a good fit for the challenge and, if so, you’ll soon be on your way to lifelong health!
